In a 1-0 victory over Cedar Stars Academy the 2006 girls Real team came out on top as this year's NJYS National Championship Series Winners.

Tinton Falls, NJ — In a 1-0 victory over Cedar Stars Academy the 2006 girls Real team came out on top as this year's NJYS National Championship Series Winners.

After a 0-0 score at the end of regulation, both teams competed for the U13 State Cup title in a hard fought battle.

These two teams have seen each other several times during tournament play and Real has come up short after multiple appearances.

As a determined Real team took the field they came out as the underdogs and ready to battle.

And battle they did.

With only seconds left in the second overtime, the referee called a PK on a Cedar Star's defender which lead to the only goal of the match by Avery Sullenberger.

As the U13 champions celebrate their victory, they will head to the US Youth Soccer National Championships in June 2019 to face the best of the best teams across the country.

Rusty Aaronson, Coach and Club President said, "I'm extremely proud of this team and what they have accomplished. They're quickly becoming the 'Queens of the club' with two back-to-back state cup titles under their belts."

Congratulations to the girls and we're excited to see what the next chapter holds for this talented, athletic and passionate team.
